Harrison Memorial Hospital Announces Partnership with Thoroughbred Emergency Physicians

Harrison Memorial Hospital announces its new partnership with Thoroughbred Emergency Physicians, an Emergency Medicine group serving the surrounding counties employing all Emergency Medicine residency-trained doctors. 

Under this partnership, J. Daniel Moore, MD, MBA, FACEP and Wesley Barnett, MD, both physicians and co-owners of Thoroughbred Emergency Physicians, will join Harrison Memorial Hospital’s medical staff as the physician leaders of the Emergency Department.

HMH earns ACR accreditation for nuclear medicine

Harrison Memorial Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in Nuclear Medicine Services as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Nuclear medicine is a branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose a variety of diseases, including many types of cancers, heart disease and certain other abnormalities within the body. Nuclear imaging determines the cause of the medical problem based on the function of the organ, tissue or bone.

Several HMH Clinics move to New Locations

HMH is excited to announce the relocation of several of its clinics. The move is aimed at enhancing patient experience and providing convenient access to specialized healthcare services. Patients and visitors are advised to take note of the new locations and parking instructions for each clinic.

HMH announces two new nursing positions

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) is pleased to announce two new positions in the nursing department. Shannan Allison, BSN, RN is the new Director of Nursing and Ashley Kincade, RN, CIC, HACP-CMS, is the new Director of Quality, Regulatory, and Infection Prevention. With these newly added positions, working directly with the Chief Nursing Officer, it will continue to strengthen nursing here at HMH as we continue to work towards efficient, high-quality, and safe clinical practice to allow us to achieve excellent clinical outcomes for our patients. 

HMH expands services at HMH Primary Care Falmouth office

Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) is excited to announce an expansion of healthcare services in the Falmouth area with the addition of behavioral health services at the HMH Primary Care Falmouth office. This expansion aims to meet the growing needs of the community and provide comprehensive care that addresses both physical and mental well-being.

HMH radiology receives ACR accreditation in CT Services

Harrison Memorial Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in Computed Tomography (CT) Services as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). 

A CT scan is specialized medical imaging that uses a computer linked to an x-ray machine to make a series of detailed pictures of areas inside the body. The pictures are taken from different angles and are used to create 3-dimensional (3-D) views of tissues and organs. 

Leigh Ann King, APRN, joins HMH ENT Services

Harrison Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce Nurse Practitioner Leigh Ann King, APRN, will work alongside Dr. Alberto Laureano, Dr. Kenneth Hughes and Dr. David Alexander to expand ear, nose and throat services at the ENT Clinic at HMH in Cynthiana.

An APRN is a registered nurse who has completed an advanced, graduate-level education program and has passed a national certification examination in order to practice in one of four APRN roles (clinical nurse specialist, nurse midwife, nurse practitioner and registered nurse anesthetist). 

Delmon Little named new Facilities Manager

Delmon Little is named the Facilities Manager at Harrison Memorial Hospital. Little will be responsible for facilities, construction, maintenance, security, safety, and life safety.

Little is a native of Jackson, KY and has attended both Spencerian and Owensboro Community and Technical College with a focus on computer/network engineering and healthcare facilities management.

Slade earns Certification as Rural Health Care Professional

Melissa Slade, is now Certified Rural Health Care Professionals (CRHCP). Slade along with Heather Hutchison and Shannon Hedges is the third staff member to become a CRHCP. 

The certification is through the National Association of Rural Health Clinics. The course content includes administration, billing, coding, compliance and quality in regards to rural health clinics. Also, part of the course is the federal updates to the rural health clinic program.
