Midden and Reid named to HMH Board of Directors

In 2022, the Harrison Memorial Hospital Board of Directors will welcome two new members to the board. Maribeth Midden, PharmD, was unanimously voted as a member by the board at the 2021 November meeting. Midden replaces Dr. Stephen Besson who rotated off the board December 31, 2021, after serving a nine-year term.  Dr. Brady Reid, who was elected in December 2021 to serve as the new HMH Chief of Staff for 2022-2023, will also serve on the board of directors during his tenure as chief.

Maribeth Midden, PharmD, is a long-time resident of Cynthiana. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Kentucky. She is currently employed as a Consultant Pharmacist for PharMerica, which services long-term care facilities. Midden is a current board member for the local Wedco District Health Department and serves as a parent representative for Harrison County Schools Comprehensive District Improvement Plan Committee. She is also a member of Cynthiana First Church of God. 

Midden is married to Richard and has three children, Alex, Anna and Jack. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on her kids in their respective sports and activities and traveling.

Dr. Reid replaces Dr. Brian Mulberry on the board as the new chief of staff for 2022-2023.  Brady Reid, M.D., F.A.C.S. joined the HMH Medical Staff in November of 2013.  Dr. Reid specializes in general surgery. He is a graduate of High Distinction of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. He is a member of the American Board of Surgery. Since starting at HMH, Dr. Reid has served as Vice Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery.

In 2022, Patrick Darnell will continue to serve as HMH Board Chairman, and Mr. Harland Hatter will serve as HMH Board Chairman-Elect.
