Samuel Coy, M.D., joins HMH Medical Staff

Harrison Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Samuel Coy, M.D., to its medical staff. Dr. Coy specializes in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine.

Orthopaedic surgery deals with problems that develop in the bones, joints, and ligaments of the human body. Dr. Coy performs knee replacements, general orthopaedic fracture care and treats a variety of sports medicine cases.

A native of Richmond, Kentucky, Dr. Coy graduated with his bachelor of arts degree from Centre College, Danville, Kentucky. He then earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School, Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Coy completed a general surgery internship and then an orthopaedic surgery residency at University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. Following his residency, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas, Spartanburg/Greenville, South Carolina. 

He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.   

Dr. Coy will see patients on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning February 9, 2022. His office is located in the HMH Physician Group: Orthopaedics office, Suite 1D, 1210 KY Hwy 36 East in Cynthiana, KY. He is currently accepting new patients.
