Who's the Fastest Competitor in Town?
Little Feet, Big Feet CompetitionIt's time once again for the annual Little Feet, Big Feet Competition scheduled for Saturday, September 11 in downtown Cynthiana. With a starting line time of 9:30 a.m., the community's smallest, yet mightiest, runners will hit the streets to compete in the one-mile course. This event, in its eighth year, turns out more than 400 children and adults annually and is sponsored by the CHP Wellness Committee.
There will be competition among the four local elementary schools. The school with the greatest number of participants will receive a traveling plaque. The classroom with the highest percentage of participants will receive a basket of school supplies, in addition to an ice cream party.
Registration prior to September 10 is $5. The sign-up fee is $10 after that date. Adults must accompany all children at the event.
Every child and adult who registers will receive a t-shirt. Every child who competes in the race will also receive a gift. Registered children are eligible for a drawing for a $50 gift certificate, courtesy of LC Shoes in Cynthiana. Free face painting at the event will be provided by the HCHS art students.
