Our Capital Campaign

In 2005, Harrison Memorial Hospital kicked off its first community-wide capital campaign effort. The goal was to raise $1 million through contributions from individuals, groups and the business/industrial community. The Hospital had always remained financially viable and considered itself a "good citizen" to the neighbors it served. Embarking on a capital campaign was uncharted territory for the Hospital, but how the community responded indeed.

With an original goal of $1 million, the campaign tally currently stands at $1.4 million and growing. This is a true testament to the commitment patients have to the hospital that has served them well for so many years.

Donations and multiple-year pledges were received from hospital employees themselves, churches, business and industry, as well as private donors. The campaign, fueled by a network of well--known, well-respected members of the community, was truly a grassroots effort.

A planned public relations strategy was used to communicate the plans for the new facility, how it would positively effect the residents of the communities Harrison Memorial Hospital serves, and more specifically, instructed participants on how the could donate or simply get involved in the fundraising effort.
